Mary-Louise Parker

Mary-Louise Parker was born August 2 on the 2nd of August, 1964. She is an American actress. Following her Broadway debut as Rita in Craig Lucas's Prelude to a Kiss in 1990 (for which she won an Tony Award nomination), Parker came to prominence for roles in films such as Grand Canyon (1991), Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), The Client (1994), Bullets over Broadway (1994), A Place for Annie (1994), Boys on the Side (1995), The Portrait of a Lady (1996), and The Maker (1997). Parker was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actress in the same Play in 2001 for her performance in the role of Catherine Llewellyn, in David Auburn̢۪s Proof. Between 2001 and 2006, she appeared as Amy Gardner in the NBC television show The West Wing, for which she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series in 2002. In her role as Harper Pitt in the HBO miniseries Angels in America, she was awarded an Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. She also won a Primetime Emmy Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. In 2006, Parker was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. In 2007 Parker received three nominations for The Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She also was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 2006 for Best Actress in Red (2010) and Red. (2013) and Red 2 (2013). Parker returned to Broadway in 2019, and was a part of The Sound Inside. This production won her her second Tony Award for Best Actress. Parker has contributed articles to Esquire magazine since 2007. She also published Dear Mr. You in 2015. She was the lead in Roma Guy in the ABC miniseries "When We Rise" in 2017. She was a political consultant in the Showtime show Billions in the year 2018.
